Silver Beach Carousel opens in St. Joseph

We were out of town at a family gathering on January 2, so we missed the grand opening of the Silver Beach Carousel. But we can’t wait to make a trip over to see it-maybe later this week?

Oct 302009

Autumn is my favorite season in southwest Michigan. The apples, the pumpkins, the trees in full fall color…and of course, Halloween! The region is really getting into the spirit, with jack-o-lanterns, faux graveyards and black cats everywhere. And this year, Halloween was good enough to fall on a Saturday, eliminating that “When is my city [...]

Riverview Park in St. Joseph, MI

Sometimes the best spots are the ones tucked away just out of view, and that’s certainly the case with Riverview Park. Head south on Niles Ave. on your way out of St. Joseph until you’ve almost reached the highway–then hang a quick left after the Riverview Cemetary. It’ll seem like you’re actually heading into the [...]

If you weren’t already planning on it, definitely take some time to head to GR sometime between now and October [...]
